History of the past 11 years

Welcome to Swiss Acro Fest, one of the first Acro Yoga/ Movement Festivals in Switzerland. 

 

The core team

Cate Spinnler, founder, organizer and teacher and so much more. 

Cate is known for her love of different movements such as gymnastics, jazz dance, skiing, pilates, yoga and acro yoga. She loves the art of bodywork and has a wide knowledge of different styles treatment and works as an osteopath, cranio-sacral therapist and thai yoga masseuse. With humour, dedication and passion she has a great ability to create community.

Monika Kolb, co- organizer and teacher. 

 is a performer, circus teacher, traveller and mother. She lives a colourful circus life in between gyms and on stage around the world. She loves to share her knowledge of circus- and movement arts. Monika teaches workshops for adults and circus projects for kids. 

She is a co-founder of the Bangkok Acro Convention and co- organizes  the Preconvention to the Dutch Acrobatics Festival.

Agenda

  • 2014 The first edition was called Swiss Kula Celebration founded by Cate Spinnler and Irene Leya . Back then the Festival was held in Willisau, Switzerland

  • 2016 Thomas Arta joined forces with Cate Spinnler co-organising the Festival - rename from Kula Celebration to Swiss AcroFest

  • 2017 The Swiss Acro Fest moved location to Schönried, Berner Oberland 

  • 2022 the core team changed to a woman force with the new co-organiser Monika Kolb (who had been part of the teaching team from 2015 on)

Mission

The mission was always to bring different people together who love to do the same and have a passion for movement.

We love to reunite all kind of people - no matter what you work - no matter where you are base - no matter what color your skin has... inclusion is the key as we all love to move.
